
Café Manager - Daytime
Location: The Eden Café at The Orchard, Celbridge, Ireland
Hours: Full-time, 5/7
Reporting to: Operations Manager
Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Café Manager to join our busy café, Eden at The Orchard, which is open daytime hours, 7 days a week. As Café Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth daily operation of the café, delivering excellent customer service, managing staff, and maintaining high standards in food quality and hygiene.
The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, have a passion for food and the hospitality industry, and demonstrate strong leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and support the café team.
- Customer Service: Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Training & Development: Train and mentor new staff.
- Quality Control: Ensure food and drinks meet high standards.
- Health & Safety: Maintain hygiene and safety compliance (HACCP).
- Cash Handling: Manage tills and payment systems.
- Problem Solving: Address operational issues as they arise.
Requirements:
- Experience: 2+ years in a similar hospitality role.
- Barista skills: Preferred but not essential.
- Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Customer Focus: Passion for high-quality service.
- Communication: Strong verbal and teamwork skills.
- Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- HACCP: Essential knowledge of food safety standards.
Desirable:
- First Aid training
- Experience using a point-of-sale (POS) system
